About Me
Hello! My name is Joe and welcome to my blog. I am 6′ 2″ and 33 years old. In May of 2007, I tipped the scales at 450 pounds. This was the heaviest I had ever been in my life. Around the time same time, my grandmother Catherine was in the hospital due to a myriad of health reasons, most of which stemmed from diabetes. Seeing my grandmother die in the hospital scared me- could I be in a coffin 5 years? I summoned up some willpower and decided to adapt a program of eating and weight training to save my life.
The program I follow is a custom-tailored one taking principles from both the Body For Life program and the Abs Diet program. Both are amazing and I highly recommend them.
My ultimate goal is to be 200 pounds and to be able to dunk a basketball.
The goal of this blog is to unite people with the goal of improving their lives. This blog is not so much about me, it is about the journey. The struggle. The sweat. The work it takes to become what you want.
I will discuss all methods, tools and tactics to improve my life and your life. I love to chat about technology and watch NBA basketball (League Pass junkie).
I will be experimenting with nutrition and workout methods on myself- you will get the true results from my experience.
If you have ideas for me, I would love to incorporate them into my lifestyle and this blog.
I am not a scientist. I am not a doctor. I am just a normal guy trying to change his lifestyle by educating himself about health and fitness concepts. Please consult a doctor before starting any fitness and nutrition program.
Be fit. Be smart. Live life.
